Cherry Hill Auction 03/12/2005

I sold my first item at a live auction today. Not a way to get rich, but I was having a hard time moving this game, and I needed the space. At least at the auction you are pretty much assured of selling something, just maybe not at the price you wanted.
And that is how it went for pinball machines today. Although the prices look reasonable, most of these games were buybacks. Very few pins actually traded hands today from what I could see.
Auction started pretty close to 10:00am (I pulled in at 10:10 and they had gotten thru a few items already), ended around 2:15, then the long wait for consigners to check out. That is the most painful, but you meet some great people in line!
Video games were all over the board, with non-working games with nice cabinets selling for as little as $30. Multicade games were again bringing the biggest $$.
A pretty nice dedicated Robotron brought $550… a definite bargain at that price. I really wanted to bid on this one, but I had other commitments.
